On Sunday, March 13, at 2:30 pm, Debra Murphy Williams departed her earthly time with us. It was a passing that was long-anticipated and, at the same time, dreaded by those of us who loved her. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, and mother; and a woman of extraordinary gifts of compassion and intellect who poured her life into the care and nurture of others, notably many of us. We were inspired by her energy and courage.
The opportunity to gather and grieve her loss will be announced on this site in the coming days. As was her wish, she passed away in her home and was surrounded and supported by her family over the past two weeks as it became clear that her thirty-month struggle with ALS was nearing its end. Please hold Abbey, Paul, and Annie close in your hearts over these coming weeks as we square ourselves to face the days ahead without our beloved one.

Stu, Abbey, Paul and Annie -The entire Oberrender clan sends our deepest condolences to you all on the loss of Deb. We hope that you find comfort during this difficult time in remembering all of the wonderful times you had together.
Sincerely,
Bob, Jane, Will Trotter and Charlie
We are so very sorry for your lost Stu. Jenny and I were just reminiscing about the fun times she had with Abbey & Deb at your house in Dedham. Sending love and hugs to all of you.
Deb - one of my favorite photos of you is when you are jumping across the stream with that backpack that weighed as much as you. You were always tough. And its that toughness that kept you on this earth for longer than anyone could imagine. You didnt want to go, and we didnt want you to go but God had other plans. And you kept your sense of humor to the end. SO much to admire. I miss you already but will think of you always. Love you!!
To everyone who loved Debbie —. Sending peace and love your way. I’m so grateful she was a friend of mine. Stu, Abbey, Paul and Annie - I send you extra hugs. John - thank you for posting that beautiful photo.
Bridget
I thought everyone would love to see this beautiful photo of the two of us in Vermont (Stratton Mountain in the background) a short while ago back in 2017!
